The role of AI in improving environmental sustainability: a focus on energy management

This research examines how Artificial Intelligence contributes to enhancing key indicators of the circular economy, specifically focusing on energy efficiency and emissions reduction. Through a multi-case analysis, the study demonstrates that AI integration achieves over 5% energy efficiency improvement in half of the projects studied and reduces emissions by over 20% in the Design and Energy sectors, while also improving business variables such as cost and quality.
